She was predeceased by: her parents, John Shields and Anna Shields; her brother Jackie; and her son Eddy. She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Novello of Charleston; her daughters, Linda Novello of Charleston and Diane Clapes (Bill) of Atlanta, Georgia; her grandchildren, Becky Sweet (Justin), Spencer Clapes (Ashley), Lucy Hydrick and Cambridge Hydrick; her great grandchild Sadie; and her siblings, Ellen DellaGrotte, Anthony Shields and Bill Shields.
