He is survived by: his wife Lucille of Washington; his children, Romona Gibson (Russell) of Greensboro and Peter Jerome of West Ashley; his grandchildren, Michelle K. Haynes of New York, Olympia Haynes of New York, Arkim Haynes of Bronx, Lydia Cecil (Christopher) of High Point, Andrew Gibson of Chapel Hill and Kristina Davis (Geno) of Charlotte; and his great grandchildren, India Haynes of New York, Kamerin Carter Haynes of Bronx, Zoya Grace Cecil of High Point and Keon Davis of Charlotte. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other beloved relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that a donation be made in Herman's name to a charity of choice.
