He is survived by: his mother Betty Jean Bullard; his wife Vonda Sparks Carroll; his children, Savannah Lynn Carroll, James Lee Carroll, Jr. and Matthew Justin Carroll; his stepdaughter Amber Applegate (Mark); his grandchildren, Bryson Lee, Abigail, Faithlyn, Johnathon, Victoria and Ireland; his siblings, John Scott Carroll and Phyllis Diane Spain; his nieces, Chelsey Willing (Roy) and Heather Padgett (Rick); and his nephew Brandon Spain. He is also survived by several great-nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
