He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Day and Louvenia Deloach Day; and his son John E. Day III. He is survived by: his daughter Juliet Elise Day of Daniel Island; and his siblings, Kenneth Day (Maenita) of Hanahan and Carol Hartley of St. George.
