He is survived by: his mother Deborah Gardner McDonald; his sister Michelle "Shelley" McDonald Gilston (Sam) of Charleston, SC; his nephews, Noah and Max; his cousins, Eric Gardner (Amy) and Valerie Powers (Neil); and his pet Lukas.
