He was predeceased by: his parents, William Paul and Elizabeth Rhoads Rudolph McWhorter; and his brother David. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Elizabeth Hamm; his children, Christine Michelle McWhorter Simon of Ft. Wayne and Michael Christopher McWhorter (Janey) of Orinda; and his sister Betty Anne Allen of St. Simon's Island, Georgia.. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
