Joseph Michael Key Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 11, 2025, at the age of 78, Joseph Michael Key (Charleston, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Joseph Michael is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Joseph Michael's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was predeceased by: his stepparents, Rusty Key (Doris Lane Schilling) and Peggy Key; his daughter Allyson Jordan Key; and his sister April Mitchum. He is survived by: his wife Connie Key; his son Andrew Michael Key (Lauren); and his grandchildren, Rebecca Allyson Key and Christian Clark Key.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel (232 Calhoun St, Charleston, SC 29401). A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Live Oak Memorial Gardens (3093 Ashley River Rd, Charleston, SC 29414).
