With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Josephine Smith of Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on October 2, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Roy Smith; and her mother Lillie Gregory. She is survived by: her children, Colie Frank Gregory, Adam W. Gregory, Janita E. Gregory, Leola D. Johnson (Dale) and Laverne Freeman (David); her grandchildren, Laquitta, Don, Larencia, Nikki, Lakeisha, Lamar, Artease, Kierra, Authur, Raven, Jonae and Janard; and her sisters, Gloria Gregory and Shirley Lee.
Viewing was held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the W. M. Smith-McNeal Funeral Home, Inc. - North Charleston (2119 Dorchester Rd, North Charleston, SC 29405). A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Gethsemane Baptist Church (180 Romney St, Charleston, SC 29403).
