She was predeceased by: her parents, Columbus William Roberson (America) and Ethel Pilgrim Roberson. She is survived by: her husband Solomon H. Kirshtein; her children, Dr. Tamara Kirshtein, Julie Kirshtein (Jim), Dr. Jonathan Kirshtein (Amy) and David Kirshtein (Joellen); her grandchildren, Katie Polk (Michael), Avi Kirshtein, Aaron Kirshtein (Haley), Asher Kirshtein, Miriam Kirshtein, Jeremiah Kirshtein and Zevi Kirshtein; and her great grandchildren, Ariella, Woods and Shula.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer's Association, The Charleston Animal Society, or Brith Sholom Beth Israel Synagogue.
