She is survived by: her children, Laura Howard Carpenter (James) of Charleston and James Michael "Jimmy" Howard, Jr. of Charleston; her granddaughters, Avery and Emma Claire Carpenter; and her sisters, Kathleen "Munch" Lyons and Susan "Betsy" Scott. She is also survived by her family and her cousins. And her cousins.

Julie loved flowers but would have also appreciated donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
