He is survived by: his wife Ada DiCaldo of Charleston; his parents, Barbara Altman Nix Malphrus of Bluffton and Joseph Edward Nix Sr. of Walterboro; his stepmother Glenda E. Nix of Walterboro; his sons, Kenneth Erick Nix II (Heather) of Bluffton and Kodey Edward Nix of Bluffton; his brothers, Joe (Nicky), Ray Nix of North Carolina and Gabriel C. Nix of Charleston; his stepbrother Roger Nix (Melissa) of Beaufort; his sister-in-law Ruth Nix of Yorktown, VA; and his grandchildren, Chandler Rosemary Nix, Rachel Helen Nix and Samantha Celeste Nix. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
