We are sad to announce that, on April 20, 2026, at the age of 90, Lucy Stupenos Spell of Charleston, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyrus Stupenos and Maria Merkezas Stupenos; her husband Harry George Speliopoulos Spell; her daughter Maria Spell Demos; and her sisters, Kula Alfieris and Debbie Tzouvelekas.
She is survived by: her children, Georgia Spell Kliossis of Charleston, SC and Harry George Spell, Jr. (Dena) of Atlanta, GA; her son-in-law Nick Demos of Atlanta, GA; her grandchildren, Lukia Kliossis O'Brien (Tucker), Nicholas Kliossis (Martha), Johnny Demos, Elana Spell, Eleni Demos and Alexis Spell; her great grandchildren, Georgia Kay Kliossis and Harry Carlisle Kliossis; and her caregivers, Diane, Jackie, Paulette, Amy and Destiny.
Memorial donations can be made in Lucy's memory to the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, 30 Race Street, Charleston, SC 29403.
