Marcelle, born on April 17, 1925 in Russellville, Alabama, passed away on September 8, 2026. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcelle Dallas Carter and Lily Barbara Purcel Carter; his wife Betty V. Carter; and his brother Purcell Carter of Durham, NC.. He is survived by: his children, Mary Dallas Moore (Cliff) and Gaines Parkerson Carter (Christine); his grandchildren, William C. Moore, IV (Sarah), Parkerson C. Moore (Jessica), John C. Moore (Molly) and Kelly Caroline Carter (Connor Markham); and his great grandchildren, Virginia Moore, Lily Moore, Charlotte Moore, Carter Moore, Lucas Moore, Mary Grace Moore, Anna Moore and John Moore.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at 1 Bishop Gadsden Wy, Charleston, SC 29412.
