She is survived by: her husband Marvin McDowell; her daughters, Shanica and Ashanti McDowell of Gretna, LA.; her stepchild Grantlen Holmes of Gretna, LA.; her siblings, Minister Cora Modere (Darryl), Joseph Holmes (Felicia) of Charleston, SC and Calvin Holmes of Harvey, LA.; her grandchildren, Ja'Rel, Brian, Tyrell, Faith, Serenity, Joshua, Jordan, Elijah, Kylian and Makai; and her extended family, Jessie, Charlie, Virgie and Reginald. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Loving Faith Baptist Church (45 5th St, Gretna, LA 70053).
