She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert L McElhenney Sr. and Beulah "Tootsie" McElhenney; and her sister Gloria Miller. She is survived by: her husband John Edward Platt of Lexington, SC.; her daughters, Debra Ann Ellis (Rodney) of Sumter and Linda Denise Matthews (James Jr.) of Gilbert; her brother Robert L McElhenney Jr.; and her grandchildren, Tara Yates of Rochester, NY, Mary Vosburgh of Hanahan, Millie Norton of Sumter, James III and Matthews of Columbia. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
