She was predeceased by: her husband James Caswell Leard; and her parents, Joseph White and Mary White. She is survived by: her sons, James Joseph Leard (Allison) of Sumter and Edward Christopher Leard (Connie) of Charleston; her grandchildren, Mary Emerson Leard and James Samuel Leard; and her sisters, Shirley Hayden of Charleston and Barbara Bernthal (Doug) of Beaufort. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved animals.
