He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Llwyn Leroy "Red" Howland and Mary Colcolough Howland; his daughter Alice Bernard Howland; his significant other Betsy Cheek Howland; his sister Ann Howland O'Neill (John); his sibling's children, Chris O'Neill (Jenny) and Katie O'Neill DePew (Clay); his cousin Beth Sanders Watts; and also, Emily and Andrew.
