He was predeceased by: his parents, R. E. "Mac" McElveen and Helen Reeves McElveen. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Wilson McElveen; his son Michael Ray McElveen, Jr. (Brittney); his siblings, Susan Young, Donna Moore (Jeff), Rick and David McElveen; and his grandchildren, Riley Anderson, Michael McElveen III (Tripp), Oliver Harris, Elliott Poole and Hadley Poole. He is also survived by his family, friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Ridgeland County Animal Shelter, where Mike adopted his faithful companion, Robalo.
