With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Paul Lawrence Rumple Sr. of Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on September 13, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Paul has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred McGill Rumple and Presley Paul Rumple; his sister Mari Fulton Smith; and his grandson David Brian Nettles. He is survived by: his children, Paul Larry Rumple Jr. (Mari) and Kathryn R. Kipp (Doug) of Pooler; his granddaughter Rebekah Isiabella Rumple of Makawao; and his sisters, Pat Lewis and Cindy Mckitrick of Wilmington. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Charleston Baptist Church (13 San Miguel Rd, Charleston, SC 29407). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
