He is survived by: his children, Tiffany DuPree Moye (Tripp) of Sullivan's Island, Ty DuPree, Jr. (Denise) of Summerville, SC and Terry M. DuPree (Angie) of Hanahan, SC; and his brothers, John M. DuPree (Mina) of Wadmalaw Island, SC and Timothy L. DuPree (Maureen) of Mount Pleasant, SC.. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
