She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis H. Martens and Rosalie A. Stramm; and her siblings, Aline M. Hutchinson, Louie Martens and Otto Martens.
She is survived by: her children, Brad Bolchoz (Margaret), Brenda B. Clarey (Joe), Beth B. Costa (Milton) and Barbara B. Pettus (Eddie). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel (232 Calhoun St, Charleston, SC 29401). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Matthews Lutheran Church (405 King St, Charleston, SC 29403). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at the Bethany Cemetery (10 Cunnington Ave, Charleston, SC 29405).
