We are sad to announce that on March 21, 2024, Ruth Carol Tharin Smith Williamson (Charleston, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband John. She is survived by : her sons, Robert Stewart Williamson (Diane) of Pageland, SC and Paul Andrew Williamson (Lessley) of Lafayette, LA; and her grandson David Bruce Williamson (Larissa) of Frisco, TX.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to one's favorite animal advocacy charity.
