He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas and Virgie E. Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Shaw-Hasan; his sons, Patrick M. Shaw and William J. Shaw; his siblings, Leonard Thomas (Karen), Lionel Thomas (Hazel), Lenora Lee (John), David Thomas, Joan Fletcher, Sheila Bland Rubin, Brenda King-Osanyingbemi, Dolores Thomas and Kimberly Thomas; his aunt Mary D. Swann; and his siblings-in-law, Karen Thomas, Hazel Thomas and Rubin Bland. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
