It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Stanbery Woodring Smith of Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on May 28, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Stanbery and Vanna Miller Stanbery; her husband Cecil Smith; her sons, Grady Woodring, Kurt Woodring and Mark Woodring; her grandson Brian McLean; and her siblings, Edith Schieder, June Parks, Steve Stanbery and Alvin Stanbery.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rachel W. Saunders (John) and Jacqueline Woodring; her daughter-in-law Annette Woodring; her sisters, Glenna Hollar (A. C.) of Boone and Rose Freeman of Springfield, MO; and her siblings-in-law, Judy Stanbery, Betty Jo Stanbery, Elaine Eller (Jim) and Tim Smith (Lucy). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
