He was predeceased by : his parents, Nicholas J. Drake and Xeni V. Drake; and his nephew Nicholas Drake. He is survived by : his siblings, Mary D. Perry of Charleston, SC and Chris N. Drake (CharlAnn) of Lake Lanier, GA; his goddaughter Mary K. Luckey (Alan); and his nieces and nephews, William J. Perry (Sheilah), George Drake, Catherine Weir (Owen), Karen Drake Thompson (Dennis), Suzanne Drake and Angie Drake.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Greek Orthodox Church (30 Race St, Charleston, SC 29403). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Live Oak Memorial Gardens (3093 Ashley River Rd, Charleston, SC 29414).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, 30 Race Street, Charleston, SC 29403.
