She is survived by: her children, Lisa Bender (Jeff), Rob Eisenhardt (Angela), David McKay (Kathleen) and Philip McKay (Rebecca); her grandchildren, Jacob Bender (Stephanie), Eliza Eisenhardt Schmidt (Joel) and Sophie Eisenhardt; and her great grandchildren, Charlotte and Casey Bender.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Renaissance Funeral Home (7615 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, Susan requested donations be made to Wakefield United Methodist Church or The North Carolina Blind Lions Club.
