He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Florence Saunders; and his parent Carlisle McKinley Saunders, Sr.. He is survived by: his parent Clarentine "Setty" Wallace Saunders; and his children, Susan "Sunny" Jewell (Steve) of Lexington, SC, Darla Iseman (Donald) of Mt Pleasant, SC, Rhonda Millard of Charleston, SC, Wallace "Rod" R. Saunders Jr. (Star) of Johns Island and Joy Broach of Charleston, SC. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and several cousins.
