He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ayer and Vivian Ayer; and his pets, Brandy, Trouble, Scooter, Sadie and Bella.

He is survived by: his son Jason; his grandchildren, Harrison and Amethyst; his great grandchild Isaac; and his siblings, Charles (Bubba), Laney and Lexa. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
