Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint William leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dwight Purcell Sr. and Nadine Steedly Purcell. He is survived by: his children, English Anne Hurteau (Doug) of McClellanville and William Dwight Purcell III (Heather) of Charleston; his sister Carolyn Purcell Morrow (Duncan) of Springfield, Virginia; the mother of his children Gloria Hoff Purcell; and his nephew Kevin Morrow (Erica) of Albuquerque.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the University of South Carolina School of Music Carolina Fund or the American Heart Association.
