It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Sue Driggers Jacobs (Cheraw, South Carolina), who passed away on May 17, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Maston Driggers and Ruth Ritchie Driggers; her husband Arte Jacobs; her grandsons, Charles Harward, III and Ricky T. Jacobs; her great grandchild Emily Harward; and her siblings, Maston Driggers, Jr., Jaqueline Sparks, Dot Steen and Lee Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Harward of Wadesboro, NC, Debrah Jacobs of Wallace, SC, Elaine Sylvia of Wallace, SC, Ricky Terry Jacobs (Jeanette) of Wallace, SC and William Christopher Jacobs (Angel) of Wallace, SC; her grandchildren, Phillip Harward (Joy), Christy Brown (Dac), Tracy Markham (James), Travis Garris (Stacy), Wendy Ziegler (Steve), Thomas Sylvia, Jamie Anderson, Brandon Jacobs of Christopher, Stephanie Jacobs and Will Jacobs (Savannah); and her sister Janet Lyons. She is also survived by 34 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cheraw Church of God (100 State Rd S-13-808, Cheraw, SC 29520). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 3:45 PM at the Driggers Family Cemetery (4222 Maston Ln, Wallace, SC 29596).
