He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Dean and Ethel Sellers Dean. He is survived by: his wife Margie Dean; his children, Donna Cole (Lance) of Norwood, NC and Mitch Dean (Billie) of Cheraw, SC; his grandchildren, Wesley Cole (Jasmine) of Charlotte, NC, Anna Dean (Lindsay) of Greenville, SC, Jesse Dean of Cheraw, SC and Emma Dean of Cheraw, SC; his great grandchildren, Callahan Cole and Charlie Dean; and his siblings, Harold Dean of Cheraw, SC and Faye Kistler of Wilmington, NC..

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cash Baptist Church (3938 US-52, Cheraw, SC 29520). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
