It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jason Ryan McDonald Jr. (Cheraw, South Carolina), who passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 23, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandmother Vera Christine Knight McDonald. He is survived by: his parents, Teresa McDonald and Jason McDonald of Wallace, SC; his sister Jasmine McDonald (Tommy T.) of Wallace, SC; his uncles, Justin McDonald of Wallace, SC and Jonathan McDonald (Sherry) of Wallace, SC; his aunt Trina Gaskins (Ian) of Wallace, SC; his great-uncle Darrell Knight of Wallace, SC; his great-aunt Reba Jenkins (Doug) of Wallace, SC; his grandfather Johnny McDonald of Wallace, SC; his brothers, Tristin McDonald, Austin Gaskins and Eli Gaskins of Wallace, SC; his close friends, Tanner Cheek of Florence, SC, Zach Rogers of Darlington, SC and Ariana Cooper of Locus, NC; and his pets, Cujo and Zeus.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (126 Greene St, Cheraw, SC 29520). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at the Oak Grove Cemetery (3237 Hatcher Hill Rd, Wallace, SC 29596).
