He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrés Mercado Torres and Otilia Cruz Pérez. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Joanne Torres; his daughter Andrea Hill; his son-in-law Jason Hill; his son Tony Torres; and his grandchildren, Jaden and Keely Hill. He is also survived by six siblings.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Piedmont Baptist Church (5524 Chesnee Hwy, Chesnee, SC 29323).
