We bid farewell to Clayton Dutton Jr. of Chesnee, South Carolina, born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 6, 2025 at the age of 83. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Clayton may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Walker Dutton; his parents, Clayton Dutton Sr. and Annie Mae Chapman Dutton; and his sister Shirley Helms. He is survived by: his children, Clayton Allan Dutton of Chesnee, Cyndi Stephens (Alan) of Boiling Springs, Lynn Dutton of Chesnee, Teresa Chandler (Mitch) of Wellford and Sherrie Stoffer (Michael) of Gaffney; and his brother Dean Dutton. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Memorial Park (4164 SC-9, Boiling Springs, SC 29316).
