Elsie Brannon Cudd McDowell Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elsie Brannon Cudd McDowell of Chesnee, South Carolina, who passed away on March 4, 2025 at the age of 98. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elsie Brannon Cudd McDowell to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Earl and Bessie Henderson Brannon; her siblings, Broadus (Wilma), John (Evelyn), Eugene (Elizabeth), Boyce (Ruth), Claude, Grace, Virginia (Barney) and Ruth (James); her husband Leonard August McDowell; and her granddaughter Lindsay Taylor McDowell.
She is survived by: her son William Albert Cudd, III; and her stepsons, Daniel August McDowell (Nancy) and Craig Leonard McDowell (Kim). She is also survived by six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Arrowwood Baptist Church (1410 SC-11, Chesnee, SC 29323).
