He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Taft Horton and Lizzie Wall Horton; and his siblings, Lewis, Larry Horton and Carolyn H. Lawter.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Hood Horton; and his sisters, Beckie H. Stacey and Diane Lawter (Lawrence Lawter).
Visitation was held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the View Church (5555 Parris Bridge Rd, Boiling Springs, SC 29316). A funeral service was held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
