She was predeceased by: her husband Melvin John "Chief" Lancaster, Jr.; her parents, Willie C. Lavender and Carmie Lois Taylor Lavender; and her siblings, Elizabeth Darwin, Frances Hammett and Ernest Lavender.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Lancaster (Lauren) of Chesnee and Lisa Anthony (Steve) of Inman; her sisters, Juanita Ramsey of Chesnee, Eula Luckadoo of North Carolina and Laverne Wilson of Texas; her grandchildren, Corey Anthony (Ashley), Anna Anthony and Austine Lancaster (Logan Cobb); her stepgrandchildren, Noah Blackwell, Emma Blackwell and Liam Blackwell; her great grandchildren, Ivy Anthony, Everett Anthony and Amara Cobb; and her stepgreat-granddaughter Evelynn Blackwell.
