It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn J. Martin (Chesnee, South Carolina), born in Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on April 15, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Theodore Roosevelt Williams and Winnie Millie Parris Williams; her siblings, Barbara Teddards, Jackie Ellis, Deloris Mathis and Jimmy Williams; and her son-in-law Randy Swofford.

She is survived by : her daughters, Tessa Swofford of Gaffney, Lisa Gregory (Mike) of Raleigh, NC. and Leslie Collins (Terry) of Chesnee; her siblings, Vicki Bishop Duncan of Gaffney and Billy Roger "Tootsie" Williams of Gaffney; her grandchildren, Brandon Swofford (Erica), Stacey Swofford, Brantley Swofford (Tyler Smith), Michael Gregory (Kate), Costin Gregory, Grayson Gregory, Terrell Collins (Tina) and Betsey Scruggs (Jeffrey); and her great grandchildren, Cheyenne Swofford, Bryson Swofford, Angel Swofford, Shepherd Charles Gregory, Peyton Collins, Collyn Scruggs and Analyse Scruggs.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Springhill Memorial Gardens (1011 S Alabama Ave, Chesnee, SC 29323).
