She was predeceased by: her parents, John Duncan and Gladys Bolden Duncan; her husband Warren Clifford "Poss" Melton; her brothers, James Duncan and Johnny Duncan; and her son-in-law Donnie Wingate.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Melton Cassels (Mike) of Union, SC and Dale Wingate of Chester, SC; and her grandchildren, Donnie Jacobs (Leslie), Kevin Jacobs (Kirstan), Leigh Turner (Sean), Warren Cassels (Heathly), Tammy Redd (Jim) and Jason Wingate (Krista). She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren.
