She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Cabaniss and Lillian Sutherland Cabaniss; and her husband Rick Gerbers. She is survived by: her sons, Scott Gerbers (Angel) of Blackstock, SC and Robbie Gerbers (Valarie) of Blackstock, SC; her grandchildren, Casey Gerbers (Asia) of Yukon, OK, Jessica Dover, Michaela Gerbers of Greenwood, SC and Lane Gerbers of Clemson, SC; her great grandchild Jocalyn Gerbers of Yukon, OK; and her sister Brenda Branham (Joe) of Chester, SC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Cemetery Association 1660 Pleasant Grove Road Chester, SC 29706.

“I know it is late but I am just now hearing of Carol's passing. My husband and I live in the Greater Atlanta area. We moved here in 2012. We were both born and raised in Chester, but eventually moved away. Approximately 10 years ago, before I moved to Atlanta, I began allowing CTS to file my taxes. It was always nice seeing Carol. She was always so pleasant and patient. She will be so missed. May she rest in peace. God bless the family. Thank you Carol for your kindness. Sincerely, Doretha Glenn”
