He was predeceased by: his parents, W. A. Dove and Virginia McManus Dove; his son Charles L. McManus, Jr.; his grandchildren, Courtney Jean McManus and Jonathan Andrew Kornegay; and his siblings, Nannie E. Roberts, Rachel Creech, Patricia Williams and William "Billy" Dove.

He is survived by: his wife Louise Dove Mcmanus; his sons, James Carlisle McManus (Crystal) of Fort Lawn, SC and Robert Wayne McManus (Barbara) of Chester, SC; his daughter-in-law Debbie Aynor of Mystic, CT; and his siblings, Timothy Kevin "Stoney" Dove of Great Falls, SC, Dollie Roberts Duncan of Great Falls, SC and Virginia Mills of Wingate, NC. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
