He was predeceased by: his parents, George Washington Hunter and Myrtle Bowers Hunter; his wife Margaret Josephine "Jo" Adams Hunter; his son Donald Roy Hunter; and his sisters, Nancy Lowery and Brenda Jewell "Judy" Kennedy.
He is survived by: his siblings, Diane Westbrook of Rock Hill, SC, Joyce Collins of Rock Hill, SC, Iris Trader of Florence, SC and George "Mickey" Hunter (Libby) of Rock Hill, SC; his stepdaughter Robin Wages Owens (Roger); and his stepgranddaughters, Julia Owens and Lily Owens.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Faith Independent Baptist Church (1903 J A Cochran Bypass, Chester, SC 29706). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at the Chester Memorial Gardens (945 West End Rd, Chester, SC 29706).
