It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy Porter Melton of Chester, South Carolina, who passed away on December 26, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, A. J. Porter and Moseanna Melton Porter. She is survived by: her husband Robert H. Melton; her children, Robert H. Melton, Jr. (Titia) of The Netherlands, Nathan Melton of Chester, Will Melton (Brook) of Fort Lawn, SC and Marsha Ernandez (Leon) of Edgemoor, SC; and her siblings, W. L. Porter of Newnan, GA, Lillie Burrell of Greenville, SC, Catherine Southerland (Robert) of Taylors, SC, Rachel Elliott (ED) of Chillicothe, OH and Betty Dietrich of Beaufort, SC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19 the family has decided that all services will be private.
