He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Dean Thomas, Sr. and Janie Melton Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Linda Hinnant Thomas; his sons, Brantly Edward Thomas of Sydney and Blake Justin Thomas of Indian Land, SC; his siblings, Alvin Dean "Shorty" Thomas, Jr. (Kathy), Roy Douglas "Doug" Thomas (Ann) and Debra Thomas Hyatt; and his sister-in-law Barbara Cameron (Butch). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
