Faye Bridges Obituary
We announce the death of Faye Bridges of Chester, South Carolina, who passed away on September 27, 2026, at the age of 83. Faye will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey McCollum and Bessie Melton McCollum; her sisters, Carolyn Starnes and Helen Blalock; her son Travis Wayne Black; and her grandson Jordan Isaiah McCree.
She is survived by: her husband Dwon; her daughter Hope McCree (Michael) of Chester; her stepchildren, Shannon Haigler and Chad Bridges of Pageland, SC; her grandchildren, Jada McCree, Maci McCree and Teyon McCree; and her stepgrandchildren, Samantha Bridges, Chad Bridges, Jr. and Lizzie Haigler.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Chester First Church of the Nazarene (182 Pinckney St, Chester, SC 29706). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
