He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Diane Smith Dillinger; and his sister Brenda Lynn Dillinger McMahan. He is survived by: his parents, Ralph M. Dillinger and Lois Viola Wilkie; his daughter Melissa Ann Dillinger of Chester, SC; and his siblings, Mildred Goings of Chester, SC, Frances Langley of Chester, SC, Sadie Slack of Gaffney, SC, Patsy Ferrell of Chester, SC, Mitchell Dillinger (Christine) of Chester, SC, Gayland Dillinger (Angela) of Chester, SC and Marion Dillinger (Diane) of Chester, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; in addition to his parents.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Barron Funeral Home (133 Wylie St, Chester, SC 29706). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the First Free Will Baptist Church (790 State Rd 316, Chester, SC 29706). A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at the Chester Memorial Gardens (945 West End Rd, Chester, SC 29706).
