He was predeceased by: his father John O. McManus Sr. (Martha); and his grandparents, James W. Banks (Shorty) and Viola Banks. He is survived by: his mother Helen B. McManus; his wife Barbara Dickerson McManus; his children, Justin McManus (Kaylin) and Megan McManus Jordan (Ryan); his granddaughter Angel (Millie Brooks Jordan); his siblings, Lisa McManus (Ricky), Joni Schardien (David), Laurie Mitchell (Bobby), Chuck Garrett (Kristie) and Josh Garrett (April); and his friends, John and Barbara McManus.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woodward Baptist Church located at 1570 Ashford Road, Chester, SC 29706.
