She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny "Buddy" Bailey and Massie Feaster Bailey Gregory; her spouse Shelby O'Neil Carter; her children, Keith Carter and Susan Carter Bolin; her sisters, Ann Bailey Grant and Sandra Bailey Doster; her stepfather Otis Gregory; and also, Adeline Faust (Julian) and Billy Joe Carter (Barbara).
She is survived by: her granddaughter Kaylee Bolin of Carlisle; her great grandchild Levi Bolin of Carlisle; her brother-in-law Earl Carter (Linda) of Chester; and her caregivers, Cathy Carter Pierce of Carlisle, Tonya Vance Smith (Chris) of Greenville and Kim Carter Desrosiers of Chester. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A burial was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at the Taught Vacation Bible School. A memorial service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Wilksburg Baptist Church (3137 Pinckney Rd, Chester, SC 29706). A reception was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall of the Church.
