He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Clark DeVatt and Betty Alice Struble DeVatt; and his brothers, Johnny, Alvah DeVatt and Bob Rush.
He is survived by: his children, Carrie D. McWatters (Scott) of Fort Lawn, SC and Leslie "Les" DeVatt (Tina) of Charlotte, NC; his stepdaughters, Shannon Canfield (Mario) of Chester, SC, Elizabeth Ferrell (Sammy) of Edgemoor, SC and Amanda Winchester (Matt) of Chester, SC; his siblings, Ed DeVatt (Denise) of Chester, SC, Stanley Rush (Lois) of North, SC, Chris DeVatt of Bath, PA, Robin Benedek (Danny) of Chester, SC, Lorraine Agulis of Frenchtown, NJ and Debbie DeVatt of Bath, PA; and his aunt Darlene Bajor (Robert) of Martins Creek, PA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and a great-grandson.
