“I was fortunate to know Melanie while I lived in York, S.C. We became close in Jr High School and I thought she was the most beautiful girl and Remember great times. A group trip to Charlotte, N.C. to see a movie, " Valley of the Dolls" and the theme song eve now and then even today over 50 yrs ago still reminds me of Melanie. She was kind and funny, beautiful and seemed ahead of her time. I have a memory of her always and Sad I could not see her after all these years before she left this world.”
